Hólmur Travel Service

Hólmur Travel Service is situated just 33 km. from Höfn. It is much more than a guesthouse. Here you can stay during winter as well as summer and drink in the stillness, the fresh air, the awesome views – not only around the house but by taking trips to the nearby beach or Jökulsárlón, the Ice Lagoon or to the nearby glaciers.

The restaurant/brewery at Hólmur, Jón Ríki, focusing on local produce and quality malts, allows us to offer good quality local food and innovative craft beers. During the winter the restaurant is open on request and for special occasions.
In the summer the restaurant is open all day long from June 1st through August 31st. It offers a small menu during lunch hours that includes a selection of sourdough sandwiches and salads.  A super healthy soup of the day along with langoustine bisque, a delicious local delicacy.

During the winter months, from September 1st through May 31st, dinner is served on request.

Hólmur opened a Farm Zoo in 2009. The Zoo includes Icelandic domestic animals like, sheep, horses, cows, goats, rabbits and various kinds of birds. It open during the summer. The Zoo has wheelchair access.

Hólmur Travel Service offers trips to the coast all year round. They also offer reindeer tours in the winter.
