Das Sk\u00f3gar Heimatmuseum in S\u00fcdisland<\/h5>\n

Die \u00c4sthetik isl\u00e4ndischer Natur ist legend\u00e4r. Leute sind fasziniert von der Sch\u00f6nheit der Natur, und erleben oft, dass sie neue Bereiche entdecken konnten, die sie vorher vielleicht nur aus B\u00fcchern kannten, oder aus mystischen Landschaften wie sie oft in Film und Fernsehen zu sehen sind.<\/p>\n

Es ist sicherlich einfach in dem tiefen Gef\u00fchl der Verwunderung \u00fcber die Isl\u00e4ndische Natur verloren zu gehen. Die Elemente jedoch k\u00f6nnen einem manchmal die Pl\u00e4ne durchkreuzen, da besonders Wind und Regen Besucher zwingen k\u00f6nnen einen Zufluchtsort zu suchen.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend man die S\u00fcdk\u00fcste Richtung V\u00edk entlangf\u00e4hrt, so bietet sich dort ein besonderer Ort.<\/p>\n

Dort, wo man Isl\u00e4ndische kulturelle Aspekte erleben kann<\/h5>\n

Nur einige wenige hundert Meter vom ber\u00fchmten Sk\u00f3gafoss Wasserfall entfernt liegt das Sk\u00f3gar Heimatmuseum. W\u00e4hrend die bescheidene Ansammlung der einzelnen Geb\u00e4ude oft von der Masse der Besucher, die den Wasserfall betrachtet, \u00fcbersehen wird, so sollte das Museum wirklich mit eingeplant werden wenn man Interesse an Isl\u00e4ndischer Geschichte und Kultur hat.<\/p>\n

Isl\u00e4ndische Vergangenheit f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Generationen erhalten<\/h5>\n

Das Museum wurde durch die Initiative von \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ur T\u00f3masson gegr\u00fcndet, einem innovativen Isl\u00e4nder, der schon als Jugendlicher in den 1930er Jahren mit dem Sammeln angefangen hat, zu einer Zeit in der die Technologien der neuen Zeit Jahrtausende alte Traditionen ersetzten. \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ur erkannte schnell den Umbruch und die Wichtigkeit, Isl\u00e4ndische kulturelle Werte zu bewahren und ging so von Farm zu Farm um alte Anekdoten und Geschichten von \u00e4lteren Generationen aufzuschreiben und sammelte nebenher noch tausende kulturelle Artefakte. Es war die Voraussicht und der Enthusiasmus von \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ur, der gew\u00e4hrleistete, dass Islands einzigartiges kulturelles Erbe auch fur die Zukunft erhalten bleibt.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr den bescheidenen Eintrittspreis von 2000 ISK erh\u00e4lt man Zutritt zu dem ganzen Museumskomplex, welches drei Dauerausstellungen beherbergt, das Kulturmuseum, das Freilichtmuseum, und das Museum f\u00fcr Transport und Kommunikation. Alle Teilbereiche bieten Besuchern einen seltenen Blick auf Island aus vergangenen Zeiten.<\/p>\n

Das Freilichtmuseum<\/h5>\n

Das Freilichtmuseum ist sicherlich das anziehenste Element von der ganzen Sammlung in Sk\u00f3gar, besonders aufgrund der Torfh\u00e4user und Holzh\u00e4usersammlung aus dem 19ten und Anfang des 20sten Jahrhunderts. Die H\u00e4user stammen aus umliegenden Gegenden und wurden nach Sk\u00f3gar gebracht um dort nach ihrem Original restauriert zu werden. Die kleine Kapelle, auch wenn sie von au\u00dfen neu ist, ist ausgestattet mit Relikten, welche aus Kirchen aus S\u00fcdisland stammen. In Torfh\u00e4usern zu leben war f\u00fcr viele Jahrhunderte die gew\u00f6hnliche Lebensweise der Isl\u00e4nder.<\/p>\n

\"\"Das Kulturmuseum<\/h5>\n

Haushaltsgegenst\u00e4nde, Farm- und Fischereiwerkzeug, geschm\u00fcckte h\u00f6lzerne Kisten, dekorierte Gegenst\u00e4nde aus Blech, Silber und Gold, als auch traditionelle Kleidung und<\/p>\n

Artefakte, die noch aus der Zeit der Wikinger stammen, sind nur ein Teil von den tausenden von Dingen, die man im Kulturmuseum finden kann. Die Hauptattraktion des Museums ist das Fischerboot mit acht Rudern, genannt P\u00e9tursey. Es wurde 1855 gebaut und war in der N\u00e4he von V\u00edk bis 1946 in Gebrauch.<\/p>\n

Das Transport- und Kommunikationsmuseum<\/h5>\n

Das Transport- und Kommunikationsmuseum berichtet von der Geschichte und Entwicklung des Transportwesens, Kommunikation und Technologien auf Island im 19ten und 20sten Jahrhundert, vom Zeitalter der Transportpferde bis zur digitalen Kommunikation heute. Das Transportmuseum ist in einer gro\u00dfen und modernen Ausstellungshalle untergebracht und beherbergt au\u00dferdem ein exzellentes Caf\u00e9, welches Suppen, Sandwiches und Desserts anbietet. Dar\u00fcber hinaus gibt es einen netten Souvenirladen, in dem man eine Vielfalt an lokalem Handwerk und weiteren Artikeln findet, die es sonst niergendwo auf Island zu kaufen gibt.<\/p>\n

Das Museum befindet sich nur eine Minute vom Sk\u00f3gar Wasserfall entfernt, genau bei der Ringstrasse 1, 30 Kilometer westlich von V\u00edk und 150 Kilometer \u00f6stlich von Reykjav\u00edk.<\/p>\n
