Es findet etwas Fischfang in Hv\u00edt\u00e1 statt, dieser jedoch eher in den Nebenfl\u00fcssen. Aus Gr\u00edms\u00e1, \u00dever\u00e1 und Kjarr\u00e1, die in die Hv\u00edt\u00e1 flie\u00dfen, wird der beste und teuerste Lachs des Landes gefischt. Die Br\u00fccke \u00fcber der Hv\u00edt\u00e1, die auf der Stra\u00dfe 510 nahe Ferjubakki in Borgarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur steht, wurde von \u00c1rni P\u00e1lsson entworfen, einem Ingenieur der isl\u00e4ndischen Stra\u00dfenverwaltung. Die Br\u00fccke, die einspurig und 106 Meter lang ist, wurde vom Isl\u00e4ndischen Ingenieursverband als einer der gro\u00dfen Ingenieursleistungen des letzten Jahrhunderts in Island ausgew\u00e4hlt. F\u00fcnfzig Jahre lang war die Br\u00fccke die wichtigste Bundesstra\u00dfe zwischen dem S\u00fcden und dem S\u00fcdwesten des Landes, bevor die Borgarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur-Br\u00fccke, die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Br\u00fccke Islands, 1979 im S\u00fcden von Borgarnes eingeweiht wurde.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
