Zu diesen K\u00fcnstlern geh\u00f6ren Volks-, zeitgen\u00f6ssische und Au\u00dfenseiterk\u00fcnstler, die eine ehrliche und direkte Verbindung zu einem originellen kreativen Geist haben: authentisch, unber\u00fchrt und frei. Die Hauptsammlung besteht aus Tausenden von Kunstwerken und Skizzen von mehr als 300 K\u00fcnstlern, die von der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts bis in die Gegenwart reichen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Ausstellungsraum des Museums hat zehn separate Galerien unterschiedlicher Gr\u00f6\u00dfe, insgesamt 500 Quadratmeter Ausstellungsplatz. Der K\u00fcnstler P\u00e1lmi Kristinn Arngr\u00edmsson n\u00e4herte sich bei der Schaffung seiner Werke dem urspr\u00fcnglichen menschlichen Instinkt mit Demut und Sensibilit\u00e4t und nutzte diese Inspiration auf einzigartige Weise.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Diesen Sommer bis zum 10. September zeigt das Museum 12 neue Ausstellungen mit den Werken von K\u00fcnstlern und Studierenden. Der Fokus liegt auf frischen Ideen und erlesener Handwerkskunst, unter anderem Glasbl\u00e4serei, Stickerei, Silberarbeiten, Keramik, Fotografie, Siebdruck und Holzarbeiten. Eines der Themen, das 2023 behandelt wird, ist die Art und Weise, wie visuelle Kunst Personen helfen kann, mit Selbstverletzung umzugehen und zu kontrollieren. Trotz des ernsten Themas sind die Ausstellungen des Museums hell, farbenfroh und f\u00fcr alle zug\u00e4nglich.<\/p>\n<p>Diesen Sommer zeigt das Museum drei visuelle K\u00fcnstler, deren Leben von gro\u00dfen Widrigkeiten gepr\u00e4gt war: die Sammlung <em>Created from Collections<\/em>. Im mittleren Saal gibt es eine Ged\u00e4chtnisausstellung mit Werken von P\u00e1lmi Kristinn Arngr\u00edmsson (1930-2015) namens <em>The Garden at Home<\/em>, w\u00e4hrend der Westsaal <em>In a Bright Room<\/em> pr\u00e4sentiert, eine Reihe von Gem\u00e4lden von Hj\u00e1lmar Stef\u00e1nsson (1913-1989). Nonni Ragnas konnte seine Kunstwerke nie \u00f6ffentlich ausstellen, aber er gab nie auf. Er verwandelte sein Zuhause in Reykjav\u00edk in einen Ausstellungs- und Tanzraum, in dem keine Oberfl\u00e4che von seiner Hand unber\u00fchrt blieb.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Im Foyer und Blumensaal zeigt die Ausstellung <em>Family and Friends<\/em> Werke von Gu\u00f0j\u00f3n R. Sigur\u00f0sson, Helgi \u00de\u00f3rsson, Studierende der Vals\u00e1rsk\u00f3la in Svalbar\u00f0sstr\u00f6nd, und Kindern der \u00c1lfaborg Grundschule.<\/p>\n<p>Im Puppensaal zeigt eine Ausstellung Puppen und Kost\u00fcme aus der ganzen Welt und eine bemerkenswerte Sammlung der Werke von B. S\u00f3ley P\u00e9tursd\u00f3ttir hat eine kraftvolle Innen- und Au\u00dfenwelt mit vielf\u00e4ltigem und pers\u00f6nlichem Ausdruck geschaffen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dieses Jahr hat das Museum eine Spende von 2.500 Textilarbeiten erhalten, die Jenn\u00fd Karlsd\u00f3ttir gesammelt hat. Sie werden in einem besonderen Raum aufbewahrt, der ihr gewidmet ist.
