Es liegt nur wenige Minuten vom internationalen Flughafen Keflavik entfernt. Das Museum, das beeindruckende 800 Quadratmeter gro\u00df ist, zeigt sorgf\u00e4ltig kuratierte Ausstellungen, die im Laufe des Jahres rotieren.<\/p>\n<p>Die aktuelle Ausstellung, die bis Oktober zu sehen ist, zeigt die Werke des visuellen K\u00fcnstlers Snorri \u00c1smundsson in der Retrospektive <em>Interloper<\/em>. Snorris Kunst ist weder Fiktion noch gut gen\u00e4hrtes \u201eAlter Ego\u201d; es hei\u00dft, der K\u00fcnstler habe kein Schauspieltalent. Aus diesem Grund ist es vielleicht nur gerecht zu behaupten, dass Snorri das erlesenste lebende Kunstwerk der isl\u00e4ndischen Kunstgeschichte ist. Snorri l\u00e4sst sich nur mit den britischen K\u00fcnstlern Gilbert und George vergleichen, die ihr Leben als lebende Skulpturen pr\u00e4sentieren, wobei die britische Person und das Zeichensystem um diese Identit\u00e4t herum das Arbeitsmaterial sind.<\/p>\n<p>Somit ist die retrospektive Ausstellung von Snorri \u00c1smundsson auch biografisch. Die G\u00e4ste werden sich an den vielseitigen Werken des K\u00fcnstlers erfreuen. Das R\u00fcckgrat der Produktion st\u00fctzt sich auf elf bekannte, authentische Auff\u00fchrungen, die die gesamte isl\u00e4ndische Nation in Echtzeit sieht. Diese sind: Konservativ, der Pr\u00e4sidentschaftskandidat, Europas bester Pianist, Schnelle Sch\u00f6nheitsrevolution, Liebespyramide, der Priester, die Briefe des nachgiebigen Verk\u00e4ufers, Meister Hilarion, die K\u00f6nigin der Berge, der Vorsitzende der Katzenkampagne und Hatikvah. Au\u00dferdem enth\u00e4lt die Ausstellung Dutzende von Gem\u00e4lden und Fotografien.<\/p>\n<p>Bei Snorris Kunst geht es darum, etwas ohne Angst oder Bedauern zu tun. Nicht dar\u00fcber nachzudenken, was schief gehen k\u00f6nnte, sondern sich darauf zu fokussieren, was nach Plan laufen wird. Diese unsichtbare H\u00fcrde zwischen einer Person und ihrem Ziel, ganz gleich ob es darum geht, Pr\u00e4sident oder Priester zu werden oder ein Weihnachtsalbum zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen, gibt es nicht bei Snorri. Der Trick dabei ist, es einfach auszuprobieren und zu sehen, was passiert. Einfach loslegen und auf das Beste hoffen. Er sieht keinen Grund darin, sich selbst zu ernst zu nehmen; Sorgen und Selbstzweifel sind nicht vorhanden.<\/p>\n<p><em>Interloper<\/em> wurde von Helga \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir kuratiert. Jahrestag feiert. 2003 begann das Museum mit rund 200 Kunstwerken, die von Gem\u00e4lden bis Skulpturen reichten. Heute gibt es fast 1.500 Kunstwerke in der Sammlung.
