Um Rau\u00f0anes herum gibt es einen gut gekennzeichneten, 7 km langen Wanderweg, der im Kreis verl\u00e4uft und sehr einfach und sch\u00f6n zu wandern ist. Das Land wird durch hohe, senkrechte Klippen gest\u00fctzt. Was diese Wanderung so besonders macht, sind die einzigartigen Felsstrukturen vor der K\u00fcste, wie Lundastapar und Gatastakk, und die beeindruckenden Klippen. Im Fr\u00fchjahr sind die steilen Felsen voller Meeres-v\u00f6gel, w\u00e4hrend die meisten Papageientaucher auf Stakkatorfa sind, der gebogenen Felsstruktur an der K\u00fcste. Das Sommerhaus Vellir liegt gesch\u00fctzt am Fu\u00dfe des Berges Vidarfjall. Zum Norden hat man einen wundersch\u00f6nen Blick nach Rau\u00f0anes in Kol-lav\u00edk und nach \u00deistifj\u00f6lfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur auf Langanes im S\u00fcdosten. Ein Fotograf der Icelandic Times ist in einer lauen Sommernacht um die Landzunge gewandert.
