G\u00edsli Rafn J\u00f3nsson, ein Busfahrer vom M\u00fdvatn in Nordisland, fr\u00f6nt einer bemerkenswerten Leidenschaft: er sammelt die Autonummernschilder in Fl\u00fcssen und Seen im isl\u00e4ndischen Hochland. \u00dcber 100 Nummernschilder hat er in seinem Studio am M\u00fdvatn bereits an die Wand dekoriert, berichtet ruv.is<\/a>.<\/p>\n

„Irgendwann haben wir mal gez\u00e4hlt, und da sind es achtzig gewesen, aber seither ist was dazugekommen. Jedes Jahr kommt etwas dazu,“ erz\u00e4hlt der fleissige Sammler. In den vergangenen Jahren ist er das Hochland rauf und runtergefahren und hat immer wieder Nummernschilder gefunden – in den allermeisten F\u00e4llen liegen sie in Fl\u00fcssen, die nicht \u00fcberbr\u00fcckt sind.<\/p>\n

„Das passiert wenn ein Jeep zu schnell \u00fcber den Fluss f\u00e4hrt. Dann schl\u00e4gt das Wasser unter das Auto und vorne an der Stossstange wieder raus und kippt das Nummernschild aus der Halterung, und es f\u00e4llt in den Fluss.“ erkl\u00e4rt G\u00edsli J\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Die Autonummern stammen aus aller Herren L\u00e4nder. „Viele Nummern sind aus Deutschland, da kann man sehen, aus welcher Stadt.\u00a0 Aber da sind auch Nummern aus Holland und Frankreich, aus \u00d6sterreich, Luxembourg.“ Er k\u00f6nne sich aussuchen, was er an die Wand h\u00e4nge, es sei genug Auswahl vorhanden.<\/p>\n

Und wem geh\u00f6ren die Nummernschilder? G\u00edsli J\u00f3n bleibt ganz cool. „Ich glaube nicht, dass irgendein Autobesitzer bei mir klopft und seine Nummer wiederhaben will. Wie gesagt, ich sammle die Dinger ja nur aus dem Wasser und vertreibe mir im Herbst die Zeit, wenn ich keine Fahrten mehr habe.“<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
