Ein Heidentempel soll im kommenden Jahr auf dem Reykjav\u00edker Stadth\u00fcgel \u00d6skjuhl\u00ed\u00f0 erreichtet werden – knapp eintausend Jahre nach seinem Vorg\u00e4nger, der im Zuge der Christianisierung im Jahr 1000 abgerissen worden war. Erste Bauarbeiten sind f\u00fcr M\u00e4rz vorgesehen, im Sp\u00e4tsommer 2016 soll das Bauwerk fertig sein, berichtet mbl.is<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Urspr\u00fcnglich wollte die heidnische Gemeinde den Tempel im Elli\u00f0a\u00e1dalur errichten, doch dann kam die vormalige Reykjav\u00edker Stadtverwaltung auf die Idee, den \u00d6skjuhl\u00ed\u00f0h\u00fcgel als Standort zu w\u00e4hlen, weil dort eine Zusammenarbeit mit der Universit\u00e4t lebendiger gestaltet werden k\u00f6nne. Das Projekt soll 130 Mio. ISK kosten, f\u00fcr die die isl\u00e4ndische Heidengemeinschaft lange Jahre Geld gespart hat. Eine staatliche Unterst\u00fctzung ist bislang nicht vorgesehen.<\/p>\n

Das Geb\u00e4ude soll in einem Hain zwischen Hangaklett und Hrafnabj\u00f6rg entstehen und ist eine Architektenarbeit von Magn\u00fas Jensson. Es soll den Gang der Sonne widerspiegeln und die in der Heidengemeinschaft heilligen Ziffern 9 und 432000 enthalten. Mit seinen 350 Quadratmetern soll das zum Teil in die Erde gegrabene Geb\u00e4ude 250 Menschen Platz bieten und sich durch die runde Form auch gut f\u00fcr Konzerte und f\u00fcr soziale Veranstaltungen wie Hochzeiten etc. eignen.<\/p>\n

Der Heidengemeinschaft Islands geh\u00f6ren 2400 Mitglieder an, und ihre Zahl w\u00e4chst st\u00e4ndig. Das geistliche Oberhaupt der Gemeinschaft, der Gode Hilmar \u00d6rn Hilmarssoon, ist auch als Musiker bekannt, unter anderem durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem isl\u00e4ndischen R\u00edmurs\u00e4nger Steindor Andersen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
