Sie rollen vom Flie\u00dfband, doch nur wenige vollenden sie \u2013 geschweige denn gut. Dem Fotografen Kristj\u00e1n Maack gelingt dies in seiner Ausstellung \u201eSchlafende Riesen\u201c im Fotomuseum Reykjav\u00edk auf au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Weise. Maacks Ziel ist es, eine Welt im Wandel zu enth\u00fcllen und uns Einblick in eine Welt des schmelzenden Eises zu gew\u00e4hren, in der diese \u201eschlafenden Riesen\u201c aufsteigen und genauso schnell wieder verschwinden. Denn die vorsto\u00dfenden Gletscher sind die Au\u00dfenposten der Eiskappe selbst \u2013 Orte, an denen sie nach Jahrtausenden des Schlummers erwachen und aufsteigen, nur um wieder zu verschwinden.     <br\/>Kristj\u00e1n, der seit \u00fcber drei\u00dfig Jahren als Fotograf arbeitet, stellt sich einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Herausforderungen unserer Zeit \u2013 dem Klimawandel \u2013 und nutzt seine Kamera als Waffe. \u201eDer Klimawandel ist unsere gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bedrohung, selbst wenn wir schlafen, denn er kennt keine Ruhepause.\u201c  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
