Kurzstrecke gilt auch f\u00fcr Freizeitaktivit\u00e4ten, wie etwa den Wintersport: die familienfreundlichen Pisten liegen alle in einer Entfernung von weniger als 10 Minuten vom Flughafen und den Hotels entfernt. \u00c4hnlich verh\u00e4lt es sich mit Reittouren, Bootstouren, Vogelsafaris, Einkaufsbummel \u2013 um nur ein paar zu nennen. Alles ist so nah, da\u00df man wirklich nur die Hand austrecken muss. Island ist stolz darauf, besonders viele Sportarten anbieten zu k\u00f6nnen.<br \/>\nAm besten beginnt man im Geothermal-<br \/>\nschwimmbad \u2013 die hei\u00dfen Freib\u00e4der mit Hotpots und Whirlpools sind ganzj\u00e4hrig ge\u00f6ffnet.<br \/>\nDas arktische Golfchampionat findet im n\u00f6rdlichsten 18-Loch Golfplatz der Welt statt, vor den Toren der Stadt unter schneebedeckten Bergen und der Mitternachtssonne. Sie k\u00f6nnen in den Golfclubs nat\u00fcrlich auch nur als Gast Golf spielen und anschlie\u00dfend im Clubhaus entspannen.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Was f\u00fcr\u2018s Auge<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Akureyri eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr die Perlen des Nordens: M\u00fdvatn und Dettifoss, der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Wasserfall Europas, liegen nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Auch die Insel Hr\u00edsey mit seiner Heilenergie und das Eiland Gr\u00edmsey am Polarkreis sind Tagesausfl\u00fcge wert. Entdecken Sie Vulkane und kochende Schlamml\u00f6cher \u2013 alles in weniger als zwei Stunden Fahrzeit.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>So einfach<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Die Fl\u00fcge vom Flughafen in Keflavik wie vom Inlandsflughafen in Reykjav\u00edk dauern nur 40 Minuten. Eine besondere Art des Inselsightseeings ist der zweimal t\u00e4glich verkehrende Linienbus zwischen Reykjav\u00edk und Akureyri, der 6 Stunden f\u00fcr die Fahrt ben\u00f6tigt. In den Sommermonaten gibt es auch eine Busverbindung durch das Hochland.
