Leur premier livre, <em>Ey\u00f0ib\u00fdli<\/em> \/ <em>Abandoned Farms<\/em>, <em>Fermes abandonn\u00e9es<\/em> en fran\u00e7ais, fut publi\u00e9 en 2004 et suscita une attention toute m\u00e9rit\u00e9e. Leurs \u0153uvres compl\u00e8tes ont depuis parcouru de nombreux pays sous diff\u00e9rents supports et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bien re\u00e7ues. De la musique a \u00e9t\u00e9 compos\u00e9e afin de mettre la po\u00e9sie en relief sonore et les photographies ont illustr\u00e9 des couvertures de livres et des pages de magazines.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f0alsteinn \u00c1sberg, qui est n\u00e9 dans la ville de H\u00fasav\u00edk au nord de l\u2019Islande et est actuellement bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Reykjavik, est une figure respect\u00e9e de la sc\u00e8ne litt\u00e9raire islandaise. Il a fait ses d\u00e9buts litt\u00e9raires en 1977 avec un recueil de po\u00e8mes intitul\u00e9 <em>\u00d3s\u00e1nar lendur \/ Virgin Soil<\/em>. Depuis les ann\u00e9es 70, il a publi\u00e9 de nombreux livres de po\u00e9sie, des traductions de po\u00e9sie, un roman, un recueil de nouvelles et une douzaine de livres pour enfants. Ses po\u00e8mes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 traduits dans de nombreuses langues. En plus de son travail d\u2019\u00e9criture, il a produit des enregistrements de ses paroles et chansons et a \u00e9galement collabor\u00e9 avec plusieurs musiciens connus.A\u00f0alsteinn \u00c1sberg est le fondateur et \u00e9diteur de Dimma Publishing, qui se sp\u00e9cialise dans la litt\u00e9rature islandaise et les traductions de litt\u00e9rature \u00e9trang\u00e8re. En parall\u00e8le, Dimma est aussi un label de musique qui se d\u00e9die principalement \u00e0 la musique folk et au jazz.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00f6kkvi, quant \u00e1 lui, est n\u00e9 dans la ville de Sau\u00f0\u00e1rkr\u00f3kur au nord de l\u2019Islande.
