Entre 1949 \u00e0 1953, Dora s\u00b4est form\u00e9 au m\u00e9tier dans l&rsquo;atelier de son p\u00e8re, obtenant son master en 1953. En outre, elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 au lyc\u00e9e populaire de T\u00e4rna en Su\u00e8de, \u00e0 l\u00b4\u00e9cole Konstfackskolan de Stockholm dans les ann\u00e9es 1950 et obtint son dipl\u00f4me avec les honneurs. Puis, elee \u00e9tudia \u00e0 l\u00b4\u00e9cole d\u00b4art et artisant Goldschmiede-, Kunst-und Werkschule de Pforzheim, en Allemagne en 1954. D\u00f3ra repris l&rsquo;atelier de son p\u00e8re en 1970 et cr\u00e9a sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Gullkistan et emm\u00e9nagea rue Frakkast\u00edgur \u00e0 Reykjav\u00edk, qui signifie la rue des Fran\u00e7ais. D\u00f3ra a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 son savoir-faire dans les bijoux qui orne le costume national ou filigrane, un bijou d\u00e9licat en ferronnerie, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en or ou en argent.
