Le lagon a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se former en 1934, et s\u00b4agrandit r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement depuis. En parall\u00e8le, le glacier Vatnaj\u00f6kull lui commen\u00e7a \u00e0 reculer et les icebergs se fermer dans le lagon avant de se jeter dans la mer. Le lagon est maintenant le lac le plus profond d\u00b4Islande, \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 260 m\u00e8tres de profondeur. Ce lagon est aussi un endroit r\u00eav\u00e9 pour tout photographe car les possibilit\u00e9s de prises de vues uniques sont nombreuses. Certains des icebergs sont color\u00e9s de tra\u00een\u00e9es de cendres dues aux \u00e9ruptions volcaniques. Beaucoup sont si \u00e9normes qu&rsquo;ils \u00e9clipsent le petit Zodiac quand il se fraie un chemin entre eux. Ca n\u00b4est pas seulement un lagon calme, le silence en est presque inqui\u00e9tant, ajoutant au sentiment de solitude. Chacun dure une heure et l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe d\u00b4Ice Lagoon vous emm\u00e8ne jusqu&rsquo;au bord du glacier, \u00e0 environ 7 km. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 met l\u00b4accent sur le service personnalis\u00e9 avec un maximum de 10 passagers \u00e0 bord du Zodiac et des guides professionnels r\u00e9v\u00e8lent les bijoux et secrets du lagon.
