Sa r\u00e9putation est d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien \u00e9tablie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses impressionnants portraits de Vikings : des visages d\u2019hommes qui parlent de drame, de passion et de d\u00e9termination \u00e0 toute \u00e9preuve, ou des fins d\u2019un combat, des sc\u00e8nes fun\u00e9raires \u00e9tranges dans le cr\u00e9puscule et des femmes apeur\u00e9es dans une cabane ombrag\u00e9e. Au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, il s\u00b4est d\u00e9couvert une passion pour le portrait historique. Il fige et capture des moments magnifiques, relatant toute une histoire, et qui, d\u00e9crite par une l\u00e9gende, permet au spectateur de la d\u00e9couler dans son esprit.<br \/>\nFlosi, de la Saga de Nj\u00e1ll, mentionn\u00e9 ci-dessus, \u00e9tait-il un meurtrier incendiaire ou un homme d\u2019honneur? Dans ce cas-ci, une photo pourrait en dire plus que mille mots. Quel genre d\u2019expression trouverions-nous sur le visage d\u2019un homme comme Gunnar, dont la femme l\u2019envoya consciemment \u00e0 la mort, quand elle refusa d\u2019apporter quelques cheveux pour fixer son arc? La saga reste muette sur les sentiments de Gunnar. C\u00b4est une exposition historique sur la vall\u00e9e de Mosfellsdalur au cours de l\u2019\u00e8re Viking. Nous avons grandi en elles et les jeunes en particulier sont capables de capter toute l\u00b4intensit\u00e9 des photos plut\u00f4t que celle des mots. \u00abSelon moi, sur des sites historiques tels que l\u2019ancien parlement \u00e0 \u00deingvellir, ou Borgarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, o\u00f9 se situe la saga d\u2019Egill, les visiteurs pr\u00e9f\u00e8reraient des panneaux d\u2019information avec de grandes photos, sous-titr\u00e9es de textes courts et percutants, plut\u00f4t que d\u00b4interminables textes. Les images parlent notre langue, et ce, dans n\u2019importe quelle langue\u00bb, dit-il. Ses photos de la saga d\u00b4Egill d\u00e9crivent des sc\u00e8nes c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de l\u2019histoire, comme lorsqu\u00b4Egill enterre secr\u00e8tement son tr\u00e9sor ou lorsqu\u00b4il est lui-m\u00eame enterr\u00e9.
