Her\u00f0ubrei\u00f0 l\u2019emporta haut la main. Cette montagne majestueuse se dresse dans les Hautes-terres au nord du glacier de Vatnaj\u00f6kull. La montagne Esja qui fait face \u00e0 Reykjavik avait re\u00e7u elle aussi de nombreux votes, tout comme Sn\u00e6fellsj\u00f6kull et \u00d6r\u00e6faj\u00f6kull. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, l\u2019Islande poss\u00e8de de nombreuses montagnes exceptionnelles\u00a0: B\u00falandstindur \u00e0 Dj\u00fapivogur, Ernir \u00e0 \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur\/Skutulsfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur et Kaldbakur \u00e0 Eyjafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Il ne faut pas oublier Rau\u00f0an\u00fapur au nord de Melrakkasl\u00e9tta ou encore Hornbjarg ouest et nord dans la r\u00e9gion des Hornstrandir, et Sveinstindur \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du Langisj\u00f3r. Lorsque le ciel est d\u00e9gag\u00e9, la vue depuis cette derni\u00e8re fait partie des plus beaux panoramas que l\u2019Islande peut offrir.
