Dot\u00e9e de six galeries, elle met en avant le meilleur de l\u2019art moderne islandais. Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du vieux port, dans la vieille ville de Reykjavik, elle occupe l\u2019emplacement historique des premiers quais et amarrages de la ville. Con\u00e7u par Sigur\u00f0ur Gu\u00f0mundsson, l\u2019un des pionniers de l\u2019architecture islandaise, le b\u00e2timent fut achev\u00e9 en 1939. En l\u2019an 2000, il fut r\u00e9nov\u00e9 afin d\u2019accueillir les divers programmes du mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art de Reykjavik. Hafnarh\u00fas expose des \u0153uvres de la collection de l\u2019artiste Err\u00f3, l\u2019une des figures principales de la sc\u00e8ne internationale du pop art, et propose \u00e9galement un large \u00e9ventail d\u2019expositions d\u2019art contemporain.<\/p>\n<h5>La r\u00e9sidence des \u0153uvres d\u2019Err\u00f3<\/h5>\n<p>N\u00e9 en 1932, l\u2019artiste Gu\u00f0mundur Gu\u00f0mundsson, plus connu sous son nom d\u2019artiste Err\u00f3, a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 islandaise des Arts et M\u00e9tiers entre 1949 et 1951. Il a poursuivi sa formation dans des \u00e9coles d\u2019art \u00e0 Olso, Florence et Ravenna. Err\u00f3 est incontestablement l\u2019un des artistes contemporains islandais les plus renomm\u00e9s. Son travail, inspir\u00e9 du surr\u00e9alisme, s\u2019inscrit \u00e0 la fois dans le pop art d\u2019avant-garde et dans la figuration narrative. En 1989, Err\u00f3 a fait don d\u2019une grande collection de ses \u0153uvres \u00e0 la ville de Reykjavik, qui est depuis devenue un pilier d\u2019Hafnarh\u00fas. Il a \u00e9galement remis au mus\u00e9e une grande partie de ses effets personnels et de ses livres. La collection Err\u00f3 ne cesse de s\u2019enrichir chaque ann\u00e9e.<br \/>\nL\u2019exposition actuelle des \u0153uvres d\u2019Err\u00f3, intitul\u00e9e Cunning Scissors, propose un voyage \u00e0 travers les 60 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019artiste. Son travail de collection, d\u00e9coupage, collage et peinture lui a permis d\u2019associer des mat\u00e9riaux d\u2019origine diverse, cr\u00e9ant des collisions visuelles dynamiques, percutantes et discordantes. En appliquant cette m\u00e9thode, il attribue un nouveau sens \u00e0 l\u2019abondance d\u2019images collect\u00e9es qu\u2019elles soient issues d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nements historiques, actuels, d\u2019influences mondiales ou de la vie quotidienne. Cette exposition se tient jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin du mois de d\u00e9cembre.<\/p>\n<h5>Prochaines expositions<\/h5>\n<p>Les conservateurs d\u2019Hafnarh\u00fas renouvellent les expositions plusieurs fois par an, offrant ainsi toujours de nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes passionnantes. En juin, l\u2019exposition Kaleidoscope: Icelandic 21st Century Art ouvre ses portes. Vous pourrez y d\u00e9couvrir une s\u00e9lection d\u2019\u0153uvres acquises au cours des deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies pour enrichir la collection du mus\u00e9e. Cette collection propose une large diversit\u00e9 artistique ainsi que les derni\u00e8res tendances de la sc\u00e8ne artistique islandaise, mettant \u00e0 l\u2019honneur \u00e0 la fois des artistes \u00e9tablis tels que Ragnar Kjartansson et la jeune g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019artistes.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019exposition D-48 de D\u00fdrfinna Benita Basalan (n\u00e9e en 1992), connue sous le nom de Comtesse Malaise se tient \u00e9galement en juin. D\u00fdrfinna puise son inspiration dans diff\u00e9rentes contre-cultures telles que le manga, la culture queer et ses propres exp\u00e9riences en tant que personne m\u00e9tisse vivant en Islande. Elle fait partie du groupe d\u2019art Lucky 3, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Melanie Ubaldo et Darren Mark. En 2022, ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9s par un prix d\u2019encouragement du Prix de l\u2019Art Islandais.<\/p>\n<p>Une autre exposition est \u00e0 pr\u00e9vue en ao\u00fbt, mettant en lumi\u00e8re les tableaux d\u2019Helena Margr\u00e9t J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir. Son travail interpr\u00e8te la consommation quotidienne dans un style qui m\u00eale r\u00e9alisme et surr\u00e9alisme. Helena Margr\u00e9t (n\u00e9e en 1996) est une artiste visuelle bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Reykjavik. Elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 des Arts d\u2019Islande, puis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole des Arts Visuels de Reykjavik et \u00e0 l\u2019acad\u00e9mie Royale des Arts de La Haye. Ses r\u00e9centes expositions individuelles incluent Liquida (2021) \u00e0 la galerie d\u2019art Plan X \u00e0 Milan, en Italie, et A Ghost of Another Ghost (2021) \u00e0 Hverfisgaller\u00ed \u00e0 Reykjavik.<\/p>\n<p>La derni\u00e8re exposition de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2023 se tiendra en octobre. Elle pr\u00e9sentera le projet de Kl\u0101vs Liepi\u0146\u0161 (n\u00e9 en 1991) et de Renate Feizaka (n\u00e9e en 1987). Ce duo d\u2019artistes explore les th\u00e8mes de l\u2019identit\u00e9, des questions de genre et de l\u2019auto validation dans un contexte socio-politique.
