Vous n\u2019y trouverez que des plaines s\u2019\u00e9tendant \u00e0 l\u2019infini, des rivi\u00e8res glaciaires et des champs de lave ponctu\u00e9s par des calottes glaciaires, des volcans et des montagnes en dents de scie. On vient visiter cette r\u00e9gion pour l\u2019isolement, et les voyageurs sont \u00e9mus par la vue sublime de la nature sous sa forme la plus brute et la plus sauvage. Les sentiers dans les hautes terres \u00e9taient traditionnellement utilis\u00e9s comme raccourcis entre le nord et le sud pendant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, et les l\u00e9gendes de fant\u00f4mes et de redoutables hors-la-loi ont incit\u00e9 les voyageurs \u00e0 s\u2019aventurer avec h\u00e2te le long de ces pistes.
