Le renard arctique est le seul mammif\u00e8re terrestre s\u00e9culaire. Il a suscit\u00e9 la curiosit\u00e9 de la communaut\u00e9 scientifique autant que des novices. C\u00b4est pour cette raison qu\u00b4a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 le Centre du Renard Arctique en 2010, dans le village de S\u00fa\u00f0av\u00edk, pr\u00e8s d\u00b4Isafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Ce mus\u00e9e est id\u00e9alement plac\u00e9 puisque le renard arctique est un animal distinctif de cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<h5>Une exposition sur le premier colon<\/h5>\n<p>Le Centre occupe la plus ancienne maison de S\u00fa\u00f0av\u00edk, une ferme vieille de 120 ans qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9nov\u00e9e par les autorit\u00e9s locales. Il est magnifiquement situ\u00e9 entre ce que les habitants appellent le \u00abvieux village\u00bb, d\u00e9truit dans une avalanche tragique en 1995, et le \u00ab nouveau village \u00bb, construit \u00e0 bonne distance de la montagne. Le Centre propose une grande exposition sur le renard arctique. Il constitue un centre \u00e9ducatif et culturel et propose r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des expositions d&rsquo;art local et d\u00b4artisanat. Son objectif principal est toutefois de recueillir et de conserver tout ce qui concerne le renard arctique et sa longue relation avec l&rsquo;homme. En effet et aussi surprenant que cela soit, la chasse au renard est la plus ancienne op\u00e9ration r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e en Islande.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;exposition est divis\u00e9e en trois sections : la biologie du renard, la chasse au renard et les chasseurs eux-m\u00eames. La derni\u00e8re section contient, par exemple, les objets et les comptes personnels de chasseurs de renards. L\u00b4exposition fait appel a plusieurs supports, des affiches, des vid\u00e9os, des objets et \u00e9galement des animaux empaill\u00e9s. Les visiteurs sont guid\u00e9s \u00e0 travers l&rsquo;exposition, qui est unique en son genre en Islande. Le Centre, ouvert toute l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e, est une entreprise \u00e0 but non lucratif, impliqu\u00e9s dans la recherche et l\u00b4\u00e9tude de la population du renard. Ils offrent \u00e9galement des circuits pour observer le renard arctique, en collaboration avec les offices de tourisme ainsi croit en l&rsquo;\u00e9cotourisme en Islande et le soutient.<br \/>\nLe Centre dispose d\u00b4un agr\u00e9able petit caf\u00e9, qui propose du caf\u00e9, des p\u00e2tisseries maison, et quelques plats l\u00e9gers que vous pourrez appr\u00e9cier en terrasse, avec la vue sur les belles montagnes et la mer, si le temps le permet. Le caf\u00e9 dispose d\u00b4un acc\u00e8s gratuit \u00e0 Internet. Le vendredi soir, de la musique live est jou\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u00b4\u00e9tage, o\u00f9 il est agr\u00e9able de s&rsquo;asseoir pour boire un verre, dans l&rsquo;ambiance chaleureuse.
