From Reykjavík to Raufarhöfn

Liner Háey 1 ÞH295, the newest ship in the Icelandic fishing fleet, is sailing into Reykjavík Harbor. The 30 gross ton plastic boat is 13.25 meters long and is operated by GPG Seafood from Raufarhöfn. A place that is farthest from Reykjavík, by sea. The fishing company GPG Seafood, which had Víkingbátur in Esjumelar build the boat, has operations in three locations in the northeast corner. Húsavík, where the headquarters are and then in Raufarhöfn and Bakkafjörður, which some say is one of the most beautiful places in Iceland.

Háey 1, in the middle of the picture, sails into Reykjavík Harbor. In the background is the Greenlandic trawler Ilivileq, from Qaqortoq, the most advanced fishing vessel in the world. It is operated from both Iceland and Greenland.
