Vatnslitir 24 cm hæð 27 cm. breidd.Gallery Fold Jóhannes Sveinsson Kjarval, oftast ritað Jóhannes S. Kjarval, (15. október, 1885 – 13. apríl 1972) er einn frægasti listmálari Íslands. Hann afþakkaði stórkross Hinnar íslensku fálkaorðu sem átti að veita honum árið 1965. Sættir náðust þó með því að orðan var varðveitt í Listasafni Íslands en Jóhannes vildi aldrei fá hana í hendur. Þetta er eina fálkaorðan sem ekki hefur þurft að skila við andlát orðuhafa.
