Guðmundsson og Kristín Jónsdóttir, en þau reistu 100 fermetra gróðurhús í bakgarðinum hjá sér árið 1953. Nýlega tóku nýir eigendur við rekstrinum og fékk stöðin þá nafnið Garðyrkjustöðin Flóra. Garðplöntuframleiðslan samanstendur nú af ræktun sumarblóma, trjáa, runna, rósa, fjölærra blóma og matjurta og úrvalið er alltaf að aukast.
