October summer in the South 

On Friday, the weather was still summerlike in the south. The morning was cool, but the temperature went up to 10°C / 50°F by mid-afternoon, sunny and calm, true summer weather. According to the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the average temperature in October in the south is just over 4°C, the windiest is Vík / Dyrhólaey, but the average wind in October is 7.1 m/sec, while the National Park of Skaftafell has the most calm days, the average wind there is 3.0m/sec in October . If the averages of the last 60 years are looked at, then October is the third rainiest month of the year, with 112 mm of rain on average in Eyrarbakki in October. Slightly less than September witch is the rainiest month, January is second, but the precipitation in that month is mostly snow.
