Situated 10 minutes’ drive from Thingvellir National Park, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant, free lakeside golfing and rooms with free WiFi access. 

The hotel offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains. During winter it is a nice place to spot the Northern Lights. 

The restaurant at Hotel Borealis combines both modern-creative and traditional Icelandic styles of cooking. The delicious breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant and always included in the accommodation.  

In the bar you can relax and all guests have access to hot-tubs, garden and the terrace. 

All guest rooms at Borealis Hotel include a seating area, wardrobe free Wi-Fi and wooden floors. All of the hotels rooms and bungalows have a private bathroom with a shower. We also offer accommodation in a three bedroom Villa and in a modern house next to the hotel we offer rooms with shared facilities.

The hotel has a conference room and our renovated barn “Hlaðan” witch is a perfect location for a Icelandic country wedding, events and conferences.    

The 9-hole Ljósafoss Golf Course is right next to the hotel. Gullfoss Waterfall is a 50-minute drive away. Reykjavik city centre is 70 km from the hotel and Selfoss town centre is 21 km away.
