Íslenski barinn – The Icelandic Bar

The Icelandic bar was literally born during the 2009 demonstrations when people were seeking shelter from tear gas. Quickly the bar was up and running with excellent, traditional Icelandic food on the menu.

Not only do they serve succulent food, but it’s also the only bar in Iceland which serves all beers made in Iceland. So now it’s no longer shelter from teargas, it is a shelter from the weather during winter storms, it is a shelter from the rain but mostly it’s a place where old friends unite once more up to share a pint, eat something wonderful and rejoice for battle was won and times are good indeed.
