Opening of the exhibition Distant Matter

The Living Art Museum announces the opening of the first exhibition of the 2018 year, Distant Matter with recent works by Katrín Agnes Klar and Lukas Kindermann. The exhibition is curated by Becky Forsythe.

Distant Matter opens Friday January 19, 2018 between 5 – 7 pm in The Living Art Museum, The Marshall House, Grandagarður 20.

The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to share space with a three-dimensional replica from space, and offer a fragment of the horizon to take home. By disconnecting and re-orientating impressions of matter the works use transmitted information, popsicle-coloured gradients and fractured horizons as a means to ask both basic questions of everyday representation and the orderly system of the cosmos.

Katrín Agnes and Lukas live and work in Munich and Reykjavík, and have exhibited their work throughout Europe and Iceland. This is their first exhibition together of this calibre in Reykjavík.

On Sunday January 21 at 2 pm guests are invited to an open talk with the artists and curator in The Living Art Museum, The Marshall House. All are welcome to attend free of charge.
