Hotel Borgarvirki is a friendly and spacious country hotel in northwest Iceland located 230 km from Reykjavik, midway to Akureyri. The hotel is 20 km. from the ring road between the towns Hvammstangi and Blönduós.We are a true country hotel, with 15 rooms, 8 of them with en-suite bathroom. The hotel is a member of the Icelandic Travel Industry Association (SAF).

The name Borgarvirki stems from historic ruins close by, a fort build by nature on a hilltop with ancient ruins, there are stories of it being used from the Viking era and is a very special place to visit.
