Ytra-Aland is located in Tistilfjord (Þistilfjord), between Torshofn (Þorshöfn) and Raufarhofn (Raufarhöfn).

We have various walking paths close by, with wonderful view to the vicinity.
There are also very beautiful paths just few kilometers away, with rare sight at fantastic creatures of “mother nature” (Raudanes).
“Late-evening-walk” along the beach is a favorite among our guests.
The farm is very well situated for making daytrips around Tingeyjarsyslur ((Þingeyjarsyslur) Tingeyjar-county).
Among interesting places to visit are:
Langanes, Melrakkaslétta, Asbyrgi, Jokulsargljufur, Dettifoss and Myvatn.
Nearest town / village is Torshofn, about 15 minutes drive, with all common facilities like for instance swimming pool and other community services.
