Ytra Lón is situated on the road nr. 869, 14 km northeast of Þórshöfn. There are flight connections between Akureyri and Þórshöfn Mondays – Fridays, bookable at www.airiceland.is. Bus transfers from Akureyri to Þórshöfn are available by booking, every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Note! Bookings have to be made at least 4 hrs in advance, tel. + 354 540 2700. www.straeto.is, Route 79. Guests are picked up from Þórshöfn for a reasonable fee. When you arrive with your own transportation in Seyðisfjörður by Smyril Line itʼs a 3 hour drive to Ytra Lón.
