The exhibition "Stödufundur" runs until May 29

Words and Images

One of the most impressive museums in the country is Gerdarsafn in the heart of Kópavogur. Currently on display is the remarkable exhibition Stödufundur (“Status Meeting”) where ten young artists, who are at the forefront of visual art and literature, come together to give us insight into their minds and expectations. What makes this exhibition so unique is that the central theme and focus are deeply personal, spanning the past, present, and especially the future. Additionally, the integration of the two art forms creates an interesting intersection, making the exhibition both unusual and exciting. The writers featured in the exhibition are Bergur Ebbi, Frída Ísberg, Halldór Armand, Jakub Stachowiak, and Kristín Eiríksdóttir. The visual artists are Audur Ómarsdóttir, Björk Viggósdóttir, Fritz Hendrik IV, Gudlaug Mía Eyþórsdóttir, and Páll Haukur. The curators are Kristína Adalsteinsdóttir and Þorvaldur Sigurbjörn Helgason.
