Now, in mid-June, when the day is longest, it can be quite rewarding to turn the clock around. Traveling around the country, sleeping during the day, and experiencing the night, which at this time of year is less a night than an endless morning. Where is the best place to experience these long nights? Why, in the north of course, on the high plains of Melrakkasléttur, on Skagi, Langanes, and the northern central highlands. The forecast is favourable for the next few weeks, or maybe not. It doesn’t matter all that much because the nights are bright, and it’s hard to guess whether the sky will be red or just blue. Here are some pictures of moments that are hard to forget. But now, it’s time to set off…
