Nordic Times Media – Print Subscription Terms (Land & Saga; Icelandic Times in English, French, German, and Chinese)
*These terms apply to the sale of products and services by Nordic Times Media ehf. to consumers.
*The terms, which are considered confirmed upon purchase confirmation, form the basis of the transaction.
*Consumer purchases like these are governed by the Consumer Purchases Act, the Contract Act, the E-Commerce and Electronic Services Act, the Legal Competence Act, and the Personal Data Protection and Processing Act.
*The seller, according to these terms, is Nordic Times Media ehf., ID number: 700493-2889, VAT number 103750. Nordic Times Media ehf. is registered in the Icelandic Company Registry.
*The buyer, according to these terms, is the entity registered as the purchaser on the invoice.
*The initiation of a print subscription starts with the delivery of the latest issue. The subscription is for one year at a time.
*Shipping costs are determined by the weight of the product.
*When purchasing a subscription plan, the chosen subscription plan is charged in a single transaction to the credit card.
*In accordance with electronic purchase regulations, the buyer may cancel their purchase within 14 days, provided the product is returned in its original packaging and condition as received. A payment receipt for the product purchase must accompany the return. A full refund will be processed upon meeting the aforementioned conditions.
*The return of the product is the responsibility and at the cost of the buyer unless the product is incorrect or defective.
*All prices in the online store include VAT, and invoices are issued with VAT.
*Subscription plan prices may change without notice, but prices are not retroactive on active subscription plans.
*A promotional subscription must always be confirmed with the subscriber’s information along with the card number. A promotional subscription must be cancelled within the specified time frame before the credit card is charged.
Confidentiality and Information Security
The seller pledges to the buyer full and unconditional confidentiality regarding all information provided by the buyer in connection with transactions with Nordic Times Media. Buyer information will not be disclosed to third parties under any circumstances. The terms of this agreement are governed by the provisions of the Doorstep and Distance Selling Act no. 96/1992, the Sale of Goods Act no. 50/2000 as applicable, and the Consumer Purchases Act no. 48/2003. All deadlines mentioned in Act no. 96/1992 are considered to commence upon receipt of the goods. Nordic Times Media reserves the right to cancel orders, for instance, due to incorrect pricing information, and furthermore reserves the right to change prices or discontinue product offerings without notice.
Dispute Resolution
Nordic Times Media will always strive to resolve any issues that may arise in the simplest manner possible. If this is not feasible, the matter can be referred to the Complaints Committee on Service and Purchase of Goods, hosted by the Consumer Agency. As a last resort, the matter can be brought before the courts. This must be done within the Icelandic jurisdiction and in the jurisdictional area of Nordic Times Media.
