In the Eleventh Hour

As the sun decided to give Reykjavík a goodnight kiss just before midnight, Icelandic Times made sure to be at the scene down by the Reykjavik harbour to capture the moment. Others were also out and about; tourists and locals alike enjoyed the midnight sun, while a few tried their luck fishing at the harbour’s edge. The catch turned out to be small, but no matter—being outdoors took first place, the sunset second, and the fish that didn’t bite only came in third.

The two leading beacons in Reykjavik harbour date back to 1917.
