In Bloom

At Hafnarborg in Hafnarfjörður, the exhibition Roði (Redden) showcases the extraordinary work of one of Iceland’s most gifted artists, Eggert Pétursson (b. 1956), who presents captivating depictions of the nation’s flora.
Renowned for his meticulous observation of Iceland’s natural world, Pétursson transforms even the tiniest plants into sweeping landscapes bursting with color and sublime beauty.
The show also features a fresh series of graphic prints created for an forthcoming book: a new Icelandic translation of Paradise, the final part of Dante’s Divine Comedy.
This vibrant exhibition is curated by Aldís Arnardóttir and runs through early 2026 at the Hafnarborg Centre of Culture and Fine Art.
