Going swimming in the ocean in Nauthólsvík

From sunrise to sunset

It’s easy to forget how dark it is in December. Sunrise in Reykjavík is at about 11 o’clock, and it sets just after three. That’s pretty early.
But what a beautiful day we had today. Of course, when the day is short, there is no time for long trips, but the weather and the light in the capital were top-notch. Icelandic Times offers its readers a small sample of this beautiful day.

It’s half past four, and it’s getting dark. The temperature is in the minus, but still, people are enjoying themselves and swimming in Fossvogur Bay.
