Come and play! Outdoor games for kids
During Bank Holiday Weekend, July 31-August 1, kids can play and learn outdoor games at Árbær Open Air Museum as well as enjoy a ride on the swing or try out our hula hoops and other toys.
At 14:00 and onwards kids can compete in all kinds of games such as sack race and tug of war.
For the youngest we recommend a visit to the exhibition “Come and play” in one of the museum building called Landakot which contains a variety of toys from various times that children are free to play with.
Árbær Open Air Museum is a living ‘village’, where you can stroll through Reykjavík’s past. Over twenty traditional homes and buildings offer a variety of exhibitions, while animals, crafts and fun family activities bring the past vividly to life.
Light refreshments will be available as usual at Dillon’s Café!
Árbær Open Air Museum is open daily in the summer from 10:00 – 17:00.
Árbær Open Air Museum is part of Reykjavík City Museum: one museum in five unique places.
