On Sunday July 26 th the Árbær Open Air Museum will be full of rock and roll music and vintage cars. Members of the Classic Car Club of Iceland will be on site to chat with guests and offer advice on classic cars. Members of staff will be dressed to the nines in costumes from the 1950´s with pinup hairstyles and fabulous makeup! Fun, fascinating and full of surprises, this living museum takes you on a journey through time. Reykjavík’s early history is preserved in a series of lovingly restored homes, where you will encounter costumed guides, grazing animals and traditional crafts.
The museum also offers a charming cafe and souvenir shop, a children’s playground and a vintage sweet store.
The event starts at 13:00 and ends at 16:00. The museum is open daily 10:00-17:00.
