Galleri Malînánguaq opened on June 1st 2011, in the private home of the owner, Malînánguaq M. Mølgaard.
“There are two rooms in our basement with a separate entrance. I had been thinking about being self-employed for a long time. I have painted for many years and I dreamed of making it my livelihood one day, says Malînánguaq. Over the past 10-15 years, I have spent all my spare time painting. It took up more and more space and in the end I had to realise my dream.”
