Hellishólar farm was built in 1952 but serves now as a country hotel, rental cottages, camping site and with a few different activities such as golf and fishing. All farming and the keeping of livestock stopped in 2001.
There is a wonderful restaurant, fishing lakes and a children’s playground. The area also have many fantastic hikes and is a short drive from any of the biggest tourist destinations in Iceland.
