Hótel Glymur is a boutique hotel with 25 executive rooms, 2 superior luxury suites and 6 luxury villas.
All the executive rooms are on two floors with a bathroom and a sitting room on the lower floor and the sleeping area on the upper floor. All rooms and suites have high speed wireless internet access, flat screen TV with around 10 channels including a 24- hour news channel and a movie channel, telephone, a hairdryer and a coffee machine.
There are two superior luxury suites: Guðríðarstofa and Hallgrímsstofa.
Guðríðarstofa is a 37 square meter suite with a massage bath tub, 20” flat screen TV, adjustable beds with massage, espresso machine and stereo equipment (CD and radio). Named after the famous 16th century poet’s wife.
Hallgrímsstofa is a 46 square meter suite with a massage bath tub, 20” flat screen TV in the bedroom and a 28” TV in the living room, adjustable beds with massage, espresso machine and stereo equipment (CD and radio). Named after a famous 16th century poet that lived in the church down by the hotel.
The luxury villas are designed with bedrooms, bathrooms and open space kitchen equipped with state of the art appliances. Leather sofas, large screen TV, dining table and beautiful art pieces help create the unique theme of each villa/house. Dining facilities and cutlery caters for 4-6 persons. The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite with large design beds, nightstands and chests, fine leather chairs, tables and flat screen TV. The access to the outdoor Jacuzzis is from the bathrooms. Daily maintenance, bed linen, bathroom ropes and towels included from the hotel. The sunny verandas are equipped with hot thermal Jacuzzis and outdoor furniture. Phone with connections to the hotel. Hótel Glymur provides the best in Icelandic culinary art that includes a variety of gourmet dishes. The breathtaking views from the hotel´s restaurant are an added bonus. We serve buffets, á la carte and set menus for both groups and individuals. Café Glymur is open daily from 13 to 17.
At the hotel there are fully equipped conference facilities and outdoor hot tubs. There is also a special art collection which decorates the hotel and in the lobby we have a small but beautiful souvenir shop.
