Vínlandssetrið Leifsbúð – Leif Eiriksson Center

Experience the stories of how Nordic people first found the Americas during the days when the Vikings sailed across the Atlantic in open ships.

Audio guides available in many languages accompany the visual worlds from renowned Icelandic artists interpreting Eric the Red’s Saga and the Greenland Saga in their own way.

The Center of Leif Eiriksson is located by the Búðardalur harbour in one of the town’s oldest houses. The exhibition is up in the attic, with a cozy café and souvenir shop downstairs.
