Culture Night is Reykjavík City’s birthday celebration, the goal is to encourage citizens and visitors to participate by focusing the spotlight on the diverse and rich supply of events and dynamic cultural activities that the city has to offer.
This year, Culture Night is happening on August 19, 2023, and the program runs from 12:00 to 23:00.
The festival area is the entire city center, stretching from Langahlíð in Austurbær to Hagatorg in Vesturbær and extending to Grandi.
Culture Night formally starts at 12:00 at Kjarvalsstaðir Museum and events are held throughout the city continuously after that.
The formal program concludes with a fireworks display at Arnarhóll at 23:00.
