Helgi Þórisson is currently exhibiting at Ásmundarsalur with “Butterfly Tales,” a show where the artist uses humor to make us laugh. And he succeeds. He uses chrome and humor in the exhibition to reflect on serious matters, playing with mysticism, absurdism, and pop culture from both yesterday and today, using plush-upholstered chrome chairs in the light of tomorrow.
Helgi Þórisson studied both phonetics and visual arts in the two capital cities of the Netherlands. His exhibition is one that calls for the sounds of silence.
