Djúpalónssandur and Snæfellsjökull

Snapshots from Snæfellsnes

It only takes two hours to drive west from Reykjavík to Snæfellsnes, where an entirely different world awaits. The peninsula, located between Faxaflói Bay and Breidafjördur in the heart of West Iceland, is remarkably diverse and beautiful. At the western tip lies Snæfellsjökull National Park, known for its unique nature. Here is a small photo series, snapshots from Snæfellsnes.
