Skógar used to be the centre of the local community, a boarding school, telephone operator and meeting hall. The Café is situated in the old boarding school, which was closed in 1972. You can still feel the atmosphere of the traditional local school where children from 7 to 15 years of age lived, learned and played for most of the winter.
At Uglan café, we want to give you a local cultural and gastronomical experience with a global inspiration.
