The artist Guðjón Ketilsson (1956) has a retrospective exhibition at Kjarvalsstaðir, where his career is reviewed, as he is today one of the key figures in the Icelandic visual arts. The show is called Jæja. By itself, jæja in the Icelandic language does not mean anything in particular. Everyone can make the word their own, with emphasis and context so that it acquires meaning. Many things can be expected at this retrospective. All the works are on a human scale, which spring from the interaction of mind and hand, as stated in the exhibition catalogue. A really greatt exhibition that runs until January 15, 2023.
