"Living life in such a way that one maintains a good life without compromising the quality of life of others is the key to sustainability". As stated in the introduction of the Icelandic Museum of Art to the exhibition, which will run for the next five years, or until March 2028.

The exhibition Viðnám

Science and art go hand in hand in the Icelandic Museum of Art’s exhibition, Viðnám, which is an interdisciplinary exhibition where artists and works of art bridge the gap between science and art in Safnahúsið at Hverfisgata. A show where climate change plays a central role. The artworks in the exhibition are all related to the discourse on sustainability and the ethical issues related to the industries that promote development towards further sustainability. How people choose to live their lives and what impact they want to have on the world and the environment. In order to create the conditions for a good life, it is necessary to take care of many factors and their interactions. “Living life in such a way that one maintains a good life without compromising the quality of life of others is the key to sustainability”. As stated in the introduction of the Icelandic Museum of Art to the exhibition, which will run for the next five years, or until March 2028.
