For more than three decades, BLÍ, Iceland’s Press Photographers’ Association, in cooperation with Iceland’s Journalists’ Association, of which they are a part of, has held a harvest festival, Photos of the Year. This year, as in previous years, an exhibition is held and a book is published, with the best photos of the year, chosen by a jury. The exhibition is held in Reykjavík’s Photography Museum, as in previous years, and lasts until the end of May. The head of the jury was John Moore, who said after going through over a thousand pictures and less than one hundred making it to the exhibition; “It is nourishing to experience this powerful storytelling from such a picturesque but small nation.”
