Art has always played a big role in Ómar’s life. As a young man, he attended various courses and studied for years with Icelandic artist Bjarni Jónsson.
He has participated in various group exhibitions and also held solo exhibitions across Iceland.
Ómar works as a graphic designer and runs his own business together with his wife in that field. Outside of work, he attends to his art where watercolours are his main focus and delight.
The speed and the excitement of watercolours, the chase for light and the unexpected fascinate me to no end, says Ómar. He draws inspiration for his works from his immediate environment, especially nature, which has always been his main subject.
Exhibition opening will be on Thursday, December 12th, 18:00-20:00 and everyone is welcome!
