When the weather is good, even on the darkest of days, the country welcomes you; as Icelandic Times / Land & Saga discovered on their trip to South Iceland. Here are three series of images where the light plays a role. Here is photo series number two, tourist attractions, bras, buildings and other things that happened to Icelandic Times / Land & Saga recently. What was most surprising was how many tourists were on the trip, whether they were in a rental car or traveling by bus. In the parking lot in Reynisfjörður, for example, there were about fifty cars and three large buses when we passed by, just after noon. On a day where daylight lasts just four hours, plus.

This was a social project that started with mothers on a nearby farm in 2017, and has since grown quite a bit. The Icelandic Road Administration has twice removed the bras, saying they pose an accident risk. Newcomers are also on the fence. Today, they are there in the hundreds, to bring life to… nature.Tourists at Vík Church, Vík in Mýrdal, the church was consecrated in 1934Tourists watch in awe as the surf hits the beach, one of the Reynisdrags in the backgroundIn Reynisfjörður, Dyrhólaey, the southernmost tip of the country in the backgroundThe farm Loftsalir by Dyrhólaós, just west of Dyrhólaey
