Colorful in Hafnarborg

Colorful in Hafnarborg

They are different, but really amazing, the two exhibitions that are going on in Hafnarborg, the cultural art center of Hafnarfjörður. In the large hall is the exhibition Ósýndarheimar, where young artists, Kristín Helga Ríkhardsdóttir, Meriem Bennani, María Guðjohnsen, Bita Razavi, Helena Margrét Jónsdóttir and Inari Sandell show their work. Curator is Daría Sól Andrews. The subject is disconnection, anxiety and the playfulness that characterizes the generation that now lives and stirs in the environment of new media. The works are various in digital art, photography, animation, realism and hyperreality. The other exhibition Ritaðar myndir, a colorful and beautiful exhibition by Jóhann S. Vilhjálmsson. But he has completely devoted himself to art after becoming seriously ill in his sixties. The curators are Erling T.V. Klingenberg and Jón Proppé.
